Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) Training
Speed is trainable, but only if you train it properly!
The Spot Athletics has the knowledge and experience to help your athlete run faster, be quicker and move more efficiently. We trained the 2012, 4x200M Division I state champions by making them a lot faster and we can do the same for you or your athlete. We opened the SAQ only sessions because, although we include SAQ work in our full speed, strength and conditioning programs, we came across many kids who were required to lift with their team but were getting no SAQ work. Like we say at the top “speed is trainable,” but we found that a lot of kids lifting with their teams were getting either limited or improper speed, agility and quickness training. This prompted us to open up our SAQ sessions so that athletes were getting proper SAQ training and getting faster for their sport.
Who: Athletes (boys and girls) from 12-18 who want to improve their speed, agility and quickness.
What: A one hour program that will concentrate only on the SAQ portion of the complete Speed, Strength and Conditioning program offered at The Spot Athletics. The athletes will work on sprint mechanics, speed, jumping power, plyometrics, agility, footwork, quickness and conditioning work.
When: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 4:00-5:00pm, additional times available by appointment.
Why: Speed is trainable, but it won’t improve if you don’t train it. This program is perfect for athletes who are required to lift with their team but are not being directed in a speed, agility and quickness training program. Having the watchful eye of a SAQ expert will ensure that your child moves more efficiently and can compete at a higher level.
