Maeve Willis

PERFORMANCE COACH

Maeve joins the team after spending nearly a decade in Rochester, NY. After a competitive career in Irish Dance, a high school career in soccer, and a competitive collegiate career in rugby and ice hockey, Maeve's broad experience in competitive sports led her curiosity to understand what nuances make elite athletes elite. Navigating a broken collarbone and torn ACL from collegiate rugby led Maeve to pursue broader understanding of injury recovery and prevention through the world of strength and conditioning.

With a degree in Brain and Cognitive Science from the University of Rochester, and a Master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, Maeve actively pursues understanding the blend of physical and mental preparation necessary for success.

As a competitive Irish Dancer, Maeve has danced at World Championships twice and North American Championships seven times. Her collegiate career in rugby culminated in a 2013 state championship, and in her senior year of college, she completed her first marathon. She has competed in Olympic Weightlifting since 2018, and currently competes for Team Ireland in Olympic Weightlifting, where she was the 2022 Irish National Champion in the 59 kg weight class.
